Adrianna: Six

Another morning with the crying alarm clock.

Since she was officially showing Adrianna threw her normal healthy breakfast out the window and opted for sugar filled cereal instead.

The first snow of the year had fallen overnight and on the day of Gemma’s birthday. Adrianna happily celebrated by dropping down and making a snow angel and then building a snowman. Snow made her feel like a kid again, she could remember the days when her father would take her out for snowball fights and skiing. She decided those were things she would do with her kids when they were old enough.

Nearly frozen from a day in the snow Adrianna came inside and gave her daughter one last squeeze before she made the journey into toddler hood.

Adrianna was in the middle of her workout when Gemma sparkled into her next phase of life. She was proud at how adorable her little girl had become.

“Alright kiddo you’re a big girl now that means you sleep until at least 8 o’clock… understand?” Adrianna told her as she tucked her in.

“Laalaa.” Gemma mumbled back at her.

“I’m taking that as an agreement!” She said and kissed the top of her head.

Surprisingly enough Gemma didn’t wake up until almost 8:15 however she wasn't very happy when she did.

Adrianna scooped her up and headed to the new highchair to give Gemma her first solid meal.

“Ummy.” Gemma giggles as her mom makes her way to the fridge to make her own breakfast.

Since Gemma was bigger now Adrianna decided its time she had her first play date. She called up Makena, the woman she met at the bar, and set up a time to come over. Gemma was excited to see all the snow as they stroll over to their house.

Adrianna set Gemma down at the blocks table to play with Marc while she went outside to chat with the adults. The two toddlers get along great babbling back and forth as they chew on their blocks and bang them against the table.

“I heard what happened with Isidro he’s a real jerk.”

“They can’t all be fantastic fathers…” Adrianna shrugged.

“Well between you and me I hear he’s having quite a bit of trouble with the ladies since your public spat.” She grinned. “I doubt he’ll be finding anyone to spend time with if you know what I mean.”

“ Couldn't happen to a better guy.” Adrianna laughed.
