Adrianna: Four

Since one can never be too prepared for a baby Adrianna spent her morning down at the library reading pregnancy books. It turned out there was a lot she didn't know about babies, for example some of them cry constantly and keep you up all night. She could only hope her baby wasn't like that.
Once she'd gotten her fill of baby knowledge she headed back home for a short workout. It had become increasingly harder to exercise lately with all the back aches but she pushed herself anyway.

“What in the-“ Adrianna exclaimed as a puddle developed at her feet. She stared blankly down at the floor wondering how she’d managed to pee herself before the first wave of pain rocked her. “Holy mother of… ahhh!!!” She screamed forcing herself toward the door.

The moment she walked in the doors there were nurses by her side and she was screaming for some kind of pain relief. Of course she'd skipped the chapter on labor and the pains that went with it, people had babies every day it couldn't be that painful, she had been so very wrong. "This thing is ripping me apart!" She yelled at the nurse as she laid back on the hospital bed.
"Someone will be in shortly to help with that." She was assured before the nurse rushed out. Moments later the door opened and she thought relief had arrived unfortunately for her it wasn't relief.
"Fall..." She said shocked.
"We'll talk later." He said sitting in the chair next to the bed.
Hours later Adrianna gave birth to a little girl named Gemma.

“I’m sorry I didn't tell you about the baby.” Adrianna told him as they made it back to her house.
"How did you even know?" She added.

"I'm a vampire I could sense her." He shrugged.

“You’re not going to try and take her are you?” He raised an eyebrow at her.

"I should, after all what do you know about bringing up a vampire?"

"Not much..." She admitted.

"Exactly, which is why you will let me see the child anytime I ask." He said pointedly. "I will not take her from you, my wife barely forgave me for this indiscretion I doubt she’d let me bring home another woman’s child. Besides we've just had a child of our own and two babies would be difficult.” He told her and she sighed with relief. She could care less about him having a wife."But do not forget she’s a vampire and will have to be taught our ways.” Adrianna frowned, she’d rather not have to see him again but if seeing him every once in a while was all it was she could handle it.

“Ok, I suppose that’s fair.”

“I guess I’ll have to share you.” Adrianna told Gemma once Fall had finally left. The baby yawned in response so Adrianna took her into the bedroom and laid her in her crib. “Now little one none of this waking up at all hours of the night nonsense ok?” She whispered.

Of course Gemma, as babies do, woke up bright and early at 5 am causing a mini freak out from her mother.
“What is it? Are you wet?” A quick check informed her that wasn't the case and so she bounced her a little but she continued to cry. “Please let it be this…” She said as she pulled out a bottle. Thankfully Gemma gladly took it and the crying stopped. “There that wasn't so bad.” Adrianna smiled.

After Gemma was settled Adrianna started her own breakfast making sure to watch carefully so there wasn't another fire incident. Luckily even though it was her first attempt at pancakes she managed not to burn them. She did however dirty the stove up quite a bit.

The rest of the day was filled with chores, workouts, and taking care of Gemma. At the end of the night Adrianna decided to take a stroll through town and let Gemma see some of the outdoors. She of course didn’t intend to get chased half a block by a crazy dog.

  1. Gemma. What a nice name ;) (it's mine too hehe)

It will be good for her to have her father in her life, even though Adrianna doesn't want him to be.
